The alarming rate of technological development in today's world leaves a thinking student wondering what electronic devices (like television) would look like in the next fifty years. I have imagined that television manufacturers and stations alike in the fight for a competitive advantage would initiate tabs on your TV screens which will give both customers and TV mass audience a carte Blanche to select within a particular TV station a preferred TV programme per time as against the current trend of being compelled to watch only what is been aired real time. Feel free now to give your own predictions of TV in 50 years time. Allow your thoughts wander into the future and publish those thoughts even if they are the craziest thought you've ever had.

I see Television in the next 50yrs like that of a small I-touch which will be easily carried about and easily access anything you want. The I-touch will only be a console like a receiver that will be receiving the signal. Once the signal is turned on you have varieties of tabs waiting for your selection then a light pen that moves like an arrow once it is activated, here remote controls are reduced to a small pen which will have a sensor like a remote control.A projector like image comes out of the I-touch not needing a background like that of a projector. It will simply just need to be turned with an inbuilt receiver,a projector which all in one makes my perspective of Television in the next 50years. In this perspective of mine remote control in a way is stylishly reduced to a small pen.
ReplyDeleteevery day the television is becoming more advanced from a the black and white to colored to more modern forms and now to the 3-D systems all these developments have been received with applause from the audience who welcome it because of it's ease and comfort. A lot of companies have sunk billions of dollars to invent the latest technologies for the television among these companies is SONY a major giant in the electronics venture.
ReplyDeleteCompanies are coming up with technologies every day to counter the previous, now High Definition television is in, and several researches have began to make TV more flexible.
The television of the future is one where you are not limited by time and space, where you can view what you want when you want it. also companies like Tivo are looking for ways to incorporate more channels into the decoder, an average decoder can have not more than 100 stations they are looking at ways in which the decoder can have thousands of channels. Also researches are being carried to make games more accessible via TV.
The TV of the future would be more mobile and less bound by time and space.

It is logical to separate out questions relating to technological developments from questions relating to ownership and control, but, in practice, visions of the future world involve bringing them together. It is difficult in present circumstances to avoid the blurring of “image” (seeing the world as it is presented to us or as we present it to ourselves) and “reality.” Can “truth” survive? The media in their mediation can create what has come to be called “virtual reality”; and Internet can offer fantasy ways of escaping from the restraints of life as it is lived to a world of cyberspace. It is with the above fact that the media can create virtual reality that I believe that in the next 50 years, television will even further digitalized that is, in the stead of plasmas and flat screens I believe that televisions will be created in form of mini-laptops or even smaller say, like our phones and one can make use of solar energy to charge the systems instead of using electricity. I also believe that in 50 years from now (2060), something else, (I don’t know what to call it though) will replace 3-D that is, animation will look as real as human beings. Of course then there will be better and more sophisticated technology (cameras, lightings and so on) so the picture quality will look more alive. I also know without a doubt that people all over the world will be able to view a production live from wherever they maybe and that programming will no longer be time and space bound. In conclusion, with the creation of the internet leading to the convergence of the new media, with digitalization that has blown our minds regardless of the fact that they have being in existence for only a few years, I wonder and can only wait to see what television and everything concerned with it holds for 2060…
ReplyDeleteOBADOTE ESTHER OLUWABUNMI 09BE08967. I see television in 50 years time as a means of broadcast that can allow an immediate response to any advert or announcement through the television sets not phones. However the presenter will be able to see the person and of-course know the state and the very place the person is, giving a feedback to the announcer or presenter. i also see it as a time when interview will be held in individual homes without the use of camera. it will be with the use of TV. I also see it as a time when TV can be viewed on wrist watches, and communication done through it.
ReplyDeletetelevision an important asset in existence has grown from the days of black and white to coloured screen.i feel tv in 50years would be like the internet where the whole world would have acess to it.people would be able to select any station despite thei location i.e. country and view any programme the want simply by typing it on the screen because it is going to be a touch screen.
ReplyDeleteETTEH IMA-ABASI NSEABASI 09BE08955 MASS COMMUNICATION The television in the next 50 years will not in any way be like the one we have today.unlike today even the rich will not have to buy more than two televisions for one family because the same screen will show front and back about three stations on each side since it will be a ninety percent software television. There will however, be a small flash sized device which ushers in the screen and using voice recognition, would change the stations to suite each persons taste and would automatically adjust the viewing options e.g. contrast, brightness e.t.c. to suite each viewers needs. To avoid noise, there will be special devices like an ear piece small enough to fit comfortably into the ear but designed in such a way that it can never fall into or out of the ear and big enough to be used to control the volume. It will also be possible to watch programs slated for next couple of hours up to 24 hours and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteIn the next 50 years, we will use 5D to watch TV( i.e a more upgraded version of 3D).
ReplyDeleteTelevision will be in form of i-touch
It will be accessible even in the most remote areas in the world
You wont need to subscribe to watch cable TV or satellites because it would be free
There would be no break in transmission and bad signals .

ReplyDeleteBig changes are already taking place on the content side of television, determining who decides what the TVs of the future will be showing. The passage of the mammoth Telecommunications Act of 1996 liberalized federal broadcast regulations, leading to the rise of powerful new companies and a surge of large consolidations. Before the new law was passed, media corporations had been restricted to owning 12 television stations encompassing no more than 25 percent of all television households. This was changed so that one corporation may own an unlimited number of broadcast stations with a reach equal to up to 35 percent of U.S. households.
In 50yrs an average man on the streets would be able to carry a portable device that would be called a television. pre-recorded programs would be made available and accessible.live shows also can be watched through the portable television. The whole concept is to bring technology closer to the people. The future of television is the future of technology itself: the coming digital convergence; breakthroughs that make devices smaller, lighter, and more powerful; the staggering array of choices and options being developed; and struggles over exactly what the dominant forms of communication, entertainment, and data transmission will be. It remains to be seen just what roles television will play in daily life in the future. The versatility of new television technology will give consumers greater choice in how they watch TV,
Olowu Oyinkansola, 09BE08977
ReplyDeleteI believe that in the next 50 years, television will not have to be manually operated, it will be able to receive instructions by spoken words i.e you just tell it the programme or channel you would like to watch and it follows your command. I also believe that viewers will be able to browse the Internet on their television sets and get latest news of happenings around the world by the use of new technologies, viewers will also be able to create their own programmes. There is the possibility of 3-D televisions and probably television will be able to make mobile phone calls with visual and audio features.
In 50 years time television is going to be any thing with a screen, with the daily development in technology in 50 years time i see t.v in an extra portable form. you would be able to watch t.v programmes on things even as little as a wrist watch of an eye glass. I believe that in 50 years time television graphics will sky rocket to 10 dimensional animations. as they have already developed the nintendo wii that is strapped to your wrist and works with your nerves, i see t.v in 50 years in relation to this that as you think it, u watch it. all you have to do is strap the remote like a glasses to your eye and think of a programme and u will be able to watch it.

I believe that in the next 50 years, 3-d will not be used again or it will be greatly improved. I envision the use of hologram. Whereby we can feel whatever is being advertised eg. shitrs, phones etc. where we can percieve the scent of whatever food is being cooked. A world where no wires will be needed to connect to another equipment to watch your television. I believe there will be life interaction between the newscaster\presenter and the audience. In the next 50 years, man would not have to switch on a tv to know what is happening around him. Once there is a breaking news, the hologram will automatically come on and information will be passed across. The hologram will be on portable equipments such as wrist watches etc. This is how i foresee television to be in the next 50 years.

It is rght to think into the future right now because the rate at which technology is growing is alarming we have the flatscreen tv we have moveable tv's and so on.
ReplyDeletein the next 5o years you would be able to get a 3D tv that would show you what you can watch in a movie theater this is different from the home theater.
it is said thathere is an ability for one to obtain customized information directly from your television's backlights, which is as a result of the technology known as visible light communication. The LED lights transmit information by flickering at high frequencies; a device with a photodiode , an example of a device with photodice is cell phone then picks up the transmitted signals.

Television in the next 50 years would be a bizzare means of communication. It is going to be a user and communication friendly device in other words one would be able to interact with a program(live or recorded),the presenter, and even the characters involved. Portability of the television in the next 50 years would not also be left out in its renovation process,it is a going to be a mobile device and obviously would be very expensive and might not be easily purchased at the initial stage but along the line it would be readily available and would be of great advantage technologically.

Television has been improving and will continue to develop.
in the next 50 years t.v will take a new structure. there will be mobility.it can be carried about because it will be portable.
it will also not be limited by time.people can tune to whatever they wish to watch at any time.
Finally, i feel events of the past could be viewed.e.g., in 2060 i can watch a program that took place in 2010.it is just a matter of entering in the date, month and year of the event and it will be displayed as if it were 'life'.

In my on point of view I think television in the next 50 years will not just be an electronic device it would also be a solar energy ,television would be in different varieties of sizes like notebook pad and something even smaller that could be carried anywherecomfortably. There will be Bluetooth devices connection installed in the television set so you would be able to transfer and receive files, there will be wireless connection installed in the television set also in 50 year’s time you would not need the use decoder to save the last information you watched, you will be able to save the last information you watched with your television. There will be installed games and calculators in the television set and the television will also be touch screen, there will be an advanced 3-d dimensional that will capture the pictures and graphics to look more unique.
Television, I believe would be a global phenomenum, even in rural areas. Telvision stations would preferably provide a catalogue of their daily programs to enable viewers select programmes that best suits their immmediate needs.
ReplyDeleteAlso i belive The Television would become mobile and those kept at home might be off no
The TElevision may beuse anymore as mobile as possible to the extend of being as small as a Match Box or even an Eraser.
WATCH OUT!!!
In the next fifty year to come, I see our normal television being like the decoder that we have now. I see television with the ability to fast-forward, reward, pause and save. I see television that’s like an I - touch, what I mean is that I see TV with an I – touch screen that doesn’t need a remote control. I also see television being interactive, as in you can shop and place your order on your TV. I also see TV with the ability two watch two stations at the same time.
ReplyDeleteTelevision in my view would be more advanced the question is how advanced is it going to look like. My point of view as many 100 level mass communication students would view this depends greatly on them, in the next 50 years television would be able to work with solar energy, it would be portable and very cheap, in today’s life the higher the price of a particular television the better but in next 50 years I picture television as man’s natural commodity. Now there is an introduction of 3D animation such example can be seen on AVATER but in the next 50 years, it would exceed even 3D,the picture on the screen would be seen in grand style. Television would be portable just like any item you can drop in your pocket and pick any time you want to use it. You cannot underestimate the power of a vision

Mass communication
I believe that in the next fifty years from now, more advanced technologies would be introduced to the television. Technologies like portability and mobility(t.v coming in more portable and mobile forms such as phones,i touches etc), blue-tooth, internet access and who knows, perhaps a t.v might turn into a must have for everyone in the next 50 years. T.v might be a more advanced version of today's laptops
In the next 50 years, television will possess more features of mobility and portability. I believe that it would also be much smaller (just like the sizes of phones or even smaller) than it is now. The issue of Language barrier will be a forgotten issue, people will have the option to choose the language they understand while watching the television. I also believe that people will be able to watch the television with option of whether to watch with subtitles. I believe that television will have in-built devices that compact disks or even flash drives could enter ( if it still exists in the next 50 years), there will be no need for external devices e.g. Cd players.

I predict that television in the next 5oyears will bring about development in intra personal communication whereby you can talk with the other person on t.v.
ReplyDeleteYou can control the programmes like pausing, playing rewinding and all sorts...
The t.v will not just be on your beautiful 60 inches LCD but on multiple screens, papers, palms e.t.c

ReplyDeleteIn the next 5o years, there will not be need for cables or antennas, there is no compulsory need fopr buttons or touch screen. There will be a device called voice recognition device which will be restricted to just your voice, all you need to do is say the channel you want, what you wan to watch e.t.c this is my insight into television in the next 5o years....

ReplyDeleteDue to the increase in technology,i see television in the next 50years as the main mode of communication.then people would have their own ideas put in by themselves on t.v.also the mode of viewing would be highly evolved, having the general public being able to access the television on the road through little gadgets like phones etc.then viewers would have options and not wait for stations to broadcast their choice before they access it.also t.v would all round due to high reduction in subscription fees.it would be a time of high innovations, ideas, philosophy and opinions.
AGWU JOY/ 09BC08894...
ReplyDeleteI see great changes in television in the next 50 years..such that television will be a portable device one can carry around.a touch screen, one can easily select what to watch and communicate with a presenter of a live program.it can also be a means of communication between friends talking about a particular program which they are watching at the same time.
Television has gone a long way in making our present lives more comfortable that before but i believe that it will get better and better as the day goes by.I feel that in the next 50 years, television will have a sharper and better picture quality and it will look more like a movie screen than a TV set.
ReplyDeleteThe Big cathode Ray-tube will be gone and a thin panel that can hang on the wall like a painting will be made. The sound will also be like what you hear in a cinema with digital surround sound.
It could also have a digital video disk juke box in which perhaps more films, music albums and CD-ROMS are all accessible from a small button remote.
TV will also have a phone, personal computer with internet access and maybe a video game system. If someone does not want to miss a program, it will automatically save the programme till when the person is ready to watch.
Finally a 2inch liquid display(LCD) screen will be made.
One very good thing about Electronics is that it just keeps getting better! Look back to the years where it was only Monochrome Televisions that were used! Later, came the birth of the Multicoloured Television sets and now, we have the plasma televisions amongst others. The next television that any scientist would be inventing in the next 50years should be like this: there would be no need for television sets to own remotes. In the next 50 years, Civilization would have eaten deep across the globe so that Televisions would simply be electronic devices that can come on by mere clapping of the hands (Clap-on TVs) and oral communication would be used to change channels and it will be able to respond to any voice without any programming so all you just need to do is to speak the words of mouth for what you would want to watch! Besides this, the TV would understand gestures and signs from people in that if someone is dozing off during a the cause of a program, the television would be able to recognise the sign or gesture and change to a very interesting movie channel or an interesting music channel. Moreso, in 50 years, the Television would be so flat and flexible and highly graphical meaning that the clarity of motion pictures would be at its peak-sharper than a flat screen. It would be that when you want to watch a program (Maria's World) all you need do is clap your hands twice and the TV which just looks like a little frame on the wall would fold out and enlarge to its original size and with the words of mouth you go "Marizzle TV" and you can now Seat back, relax and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50years would be very fantastically and amazingly unique because i see television as a technological pen that would need only finger touch to be operated on and whereby stations would not only be selected but organized and programmed by individuals based on favorable choice of programmes. Also it size would not only be small, but also cheap because it would be a common asset to purchase and it will also be automatically and globally connected to the internet whereby one would be able to browse on the pen television. This would make information more passed to all because it would be able to be set to any audible and translated language desired. Television in the next fifty years will be something else that is in a rather extreme state. Television would turn to something potable in such a way that the connections may need may be a kind wireless and will be something that can be carried about. Television will be more realistic, and the mast that is installed would also have their change in such a way that it would be possible to access other stations that are far away not considering the distance. The programs and it graphics will also change. Television will also not on 3d any longer.
AKANYI MARVIN TERWASE 09BE08942
ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50 years will be thinner, better and more realistic than the present television. The name will be TPV –TV. Meaning (total perspective view television). This television will make it possible for the viewer to decide from what angle to watch his television. This will require a more decoded and digitalized camera for recording. This camera will be able to on-viewing, capture all angles of the set there by allowing the viewer to pick the angle to watch. Like in the video games where you can choose the viewing angle, so will it be in the TPV-TV. Another fantastic of thing about this TV is the impact sensory advantage. This will enable the viewer to pick in bangs, explosions, slaps, kicks etc. the viewer will be able to zoom in and see fully the impact of such form which will be complimented with a bright but harmless and un-interrupting flash of light. A lot of functions in a television so it is going to be a very large TV right? No! The TPV-TV will be very flat to the same width of a tooth brush.

Television is a master at holding the attention of a large number of people for long periods of time. Other gadgets divert people from the box but not nearly as much as TV diverts them from all those other gadgets. While technology has undermined some of television's biggest competitors, notably newspapers, in a world of fragmenting audiences it is the only real global mass medium.
Therefore in the next 50 years, inventors would invent a more portable, movable and a less expensive t.v which would not require any form of electricity it would only require your finger print for recognition and ownership.
i came into the world to meet a diffrent type of television, and as a grow, the television continues to grow with me.in fifty years the television would be a very interesting device.we would no longer use the 3D.i see a television of which you can communicate with a t.v presenter without having to call.you just touch a key on the television, you and the presenter would be able to interact seeing yourselves.

ReplyDeleteFrom rapidly-moving slides to black and white to Colour to Standard Definition to High Definition to touch screen T.V. to 360 degree television..... The world of television is no longer retricted to being a black box of moving figures anymore. The Television will be a fluorescent- shaped object that projects whatever the owner tunes to in the air in Super Real Definition. It will also provide an attachment which can be worn over the head for private viewing. This device will send signals to the part of the brain that stimulates vision. So even visually-impared people can view the T.V.
This T.V. will also detect the mood and preferences of its user tuning in to a certain channel without remote control or in particular cases, the voice-control.

ReplyDeleteThe television in the next 50 years is going to be an out-of-this world multi-choice and interactional device. 5 decades ago, black and white television was the in thing. Gradually, colour television left the position of being a myht to having a ratio of 5 families to a T.V set, according to statistics.
Now, the television in my own opinion will leave the era of High Definition to virtual reality. A situation whereby the viewers experience the T.V Programs as if it were real-life. The future T.V. will also engage the power of the viewers mood to control the programs it will display.
In 50 years TV would be Outrageous,TV would be sleek,TV would be as common and gradey as mobile phones,You could change the channel you are watching with your voice,i.e you could talk with your set.You could browse with your TV, you can chat with your friends with your TV.TV would be simply outrageous.

Television in the next 50years will be splendid, why because both the poor and rich will have access to information because of its cheapness. For example Hitv, Dstv, Mytv and others which are expensive presently would become a cheap thing. In the next 50 years there won’t be aerials for connection of different stations, instead the aerials are going to be centralized to a particular distribution system i.e It will not be necessary to use aerials to connect to a station but you ‘just speak a word ‘and your desired station is viewed. ReplyDeleteI believe that the present state of tv is good but in the next 50 years i believe that there would be a tv which would come in the form of mobile phones, I also believe that the tv will not need a remote control it will just need the voice of the owner or the mind of the owner to change or switch the channel.
What television will look like in the next 50 years is a very big question to me i see television in the next 50 years as an advanced means of communication in the sense that one will be able to speak to it to show any program he or she so desires.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm sure people must have heard of micro-chips which is used to store data or information in human body television in the next 50 years will be using micro-chips so that the owner can store his or her personal data on it. Television will also be able to be charged that is without using a UPS one can charge it in other to use it later.

ReplyDeleteIn my point of view the television system in the next 50 years would be VIRTUAL, there would be no need for the boxes, be it flat screen or not. People would be able to watch whatever they wanted just by thinking about it and what makes it so amazing is that you could actually be present in whatever T.V show you wish to watch, it would be just lke being an extra character in the show. To top it up it won'tonly be available to the rich and the mddle class but to every single person, it's all in the mind.

Television in the next 50 years will be so advanced. previous televisions have been having features like better pictures, sounds and good quality even in terms of the expense. we are in the 21st century and i feel television should be more advanced than it used to be. in the next 50 years, i feel one should be able to communicate with the person you are viewing. it could be the news caster or the artiste or any other person on air at that particular time.
i believe television in the future will be very interactive. I see television in the next 50 years as an interactive construct with programming that will allow viewers the freedom to pick what they want to watch when they want to watch it, as they would already have been setup by the channel. The television itself, i believe will have a demo channel were the images on tv will be able to react to touches on the screen, like fishes in a fish bowl.
ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50 year will be one of the greatest technology. It will longer be the 3D we use now, i tnink it will be 7D,more advanced than the one we use now.
ReplyDeleteT.V will no longer be as big as it is now, maybe it will be in form of ipod and be easily acessible anywhere.i think we will be able to watch whatever we want at our covenient time without waiting for the day or time of the programme

ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50 years will have a lot of features that present ones dont have as the world advance. New technology comes up every week in this present day. aside the technological aspect of it.. a deeper look at it function and what is meant for, providing information in such areas as education, culture, economic etc but in recent years tv as been used for the selfish desire of many beside the entertainment area even with this some movies, music etc are design at certain idea or concept of an inner mind of another person.
Television in the next generation will be basically be a tool for political machinery in term of using propaganda in achieving the set objective for power and social control.

ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50 years is going to be something else. We've seen it grow over the years and we know what it is now. Therefore,in the next 50 years,i see the television like the internet now, where people sselect what they want to watch.

ReplyDeletetelevision in the next fifty years is not going to be the same again it is going to improve greatly. instead of having televisions as big as they are now they are going to come in various small sizes which will make it portable like wrist watches. every TV stations will have their own variety of programs that you will be able to choose and watch from instead of watching what ever they give you to watch

This is my point of view of television in the next 50 years.

ReplyDeleteTELEVISION IN THE NEXT 50YEARS.
ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50years would be spectacular………..
The use of remote controls for television would be scrapped and the use of voice command television would be adopted. This is how it works, you`ll just sit back, relax and command the TV to come on with your voice, when it comes on, you`ll name the channel you want to watch and it goes there, you`ll name the programme you want and it will change by itself to that programme. Interestingly as this may sound it’s just a tip of the iceberg compared to when your TV becomes you. Your television would do everything for you even if u are present or absent. It works in form of teleconferencing i.e. people watching you live but you are not around or you might be but you`ll be somewhere separate or different from where they are. You would have stored what you want to say on you TV &it will send the message to anywhere you want it to go and people will watch it live. It can be used for board meetings, parties, public assemblies e.t.c

ReplyDeleteTelevision in the next 50 years will become a world of unimaginable expectation as the invention will have taken a wild spread to the next level. The major event television has hold is the passing of information, teaching moral, making the masses understand government policies and action, beside all these in recent time the television has been used in achieving some desire of the big men in the society and i believed in some years to come tv will become a tool of selfish desire to control economically and polotically.

I see TV in 50 years as a powerful and wonderful medium of communication.I see TV being powered via control and facial recognition program. If I want to watch TV i would say to it TV ON! or I just stand in front of it and it automatically comes on and also command it by saying TUNE TO CNN or CNN and it automatically tunes to any desired station of my choice. When am done i will say TV OFF! and it will automatically go off itself, this is how i see TV to run in the next 50 years.

Television is one of the many electrical gadgets that has experienced rapid development. This report views T.V in 50 years from now.Television as been getting flatter over time and from this we can induce that television will be as flat as paper. In the future, not only will television will also be watched in the air. This means that television can be viewed any where in the world. Programs on T.V may be paused, played back or fast forwarded even if it a live broadcast. In 50 years,we will view 5D on T.V.

ReplyDeleteTelevision in 50 years might be that it would no longer be compulsory to have a T.v set before we can watch television. There could be a small transparent device that would be attached to our temples. With that, we can watch T.V stations through our heads making it seem like we are really there. This is obviously going to be more realistic than 3D glasses. The device would also make it possible for us to pause, play, fast forward and rewind whatever we are watching.

ReplyDeleteFrom my point of view, the telivision in the 2060 will be an innovation to behold.
I belive telivision will have gone beyond the borders of a box; telivision sets wont be used anymore. Amore developed type of projector will be used.
This projector will present images not on a screen or flat surface, but a space provided, such as a stage in front of the audience. Images will be 3-D but instead of being presented on a screen, they will be presented in a space provided, making it seem like the images/characters are right there in the same room as the audience.

In the next 50 years, Civilization would have eaten deep across the globe so that Televisions would simply be electronic devices that can come on by mere clapping of the hands (Clap-on TVs) and oral communication would be used to change channels and it will be able to respond to any voice without any programming so all you just need to do is to speak the words of mouth for what you would want to watch.

Informal research suggests that people are experimenting with new programming because it is brought to their attention by, or just because it is easier to watch, on their DVR.
ReplyDeletePeople who miss original airings of programs on television are already downloading that media using peer-to-peer networks such as BitTorrent.
television in fifty years from now would encourage a comfortable user interface.
Furthermore, I predict that these screens, likely requiring less power than traditional televisions and used for many purposes including information retrieval, entertainment, and communication, will tend to be left powered-on for ever greater amounts of time.
Content can be created when these screens are idle, that is, when they are not being used for a specific purpose. Thus, they will be used not only as primary foci of attention, as when watching television, but also as secondary foci of attention. In the future, users may glance at a video screen while performing another activity. These future user tendencies also create demand for new forms of media
At the same time as demand is increasing, recent developments leading toward the technical feasibility for such a system have come about in all of the three stages of content lifecycle – production, distribution, and consumption.
Advances in technology, and decreasing costs of the technology, have given people the ability to change how they engage in these processes surrounding the media cycle.
Broadcast-quality video that previously required a team of artists and engineers using hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars worth of equipment to create will then be created by a single person or a small group using one-thousand-dollar cameras and a two-thousand-dollar computer.
Thus, increasingly more smaller and independent players can create video with an appeal that may rival that created by those with much larger financial backings.
While right now this is true for the creation of prerecorded video content, rapid developments will soon make this possible for live-format video as well.

The news would no longer be read by news casters but by robots who will be progrmmed to look like and behave like real breathing human beings. This means that there is no future for newscasters in 50 years time.

I think in the future we would be able to go online that is to the internet and select any channel we want to be tuned to either local or cable channel we will have the ability to watch talevision online and we will also be able to pause the program anytime we want to and come back to watch the program later. We will also be able to record and save anyprogram we 've watched online.
I also think that we will be able to post our comment of an interactive television program and it will be received and replied immediately from the media house

In 50 years tv will be very portable as it will be in the shape and size of a cell phone with more quality. tv will be easy to carry about and any desired programme will simply be typed in the tv set and it will be projected from the phone in the actual size of a flat screen tv. so simply put; tv in 50 years will be a flat screen projected phone.
television now has been developing gradually from motion pictures to black and white to 3-d and so on.my bright idea of a television is a kind of television that is flexible in the sense that it wil be foldable to put in a hand bag which wil breach the space and time between television and newspaper.it can be carried around.then it wil also be voice control.

ReplyDeleteLooking back at how far television has come and the ever increasing rate of technology, i believe that in the next 50 years television will come in smaller and flatter sizes and in different colors, probably with no bottons. Access to television stations will no longer be limited to our geographical area, all you have to do is touch something on your screen and you are connected to any station around the world. Simply put you are connected to all television stations around the world within seconds.

In the next 50 years I forsee that the television will be so great that new innovations will be hard to come by after that. I see the television as a device which can be put in the pocket,it will be in the form of a remote control and when a person needs to watch T.V he will simply pullout the remote and point it to watever direction or surface he wishes to watch it on. I also see the T.V in 50 yeas as one whereby you could purchase a product by simply clicking on it when an advet pops up and typing in your name, account number, etc on the television screen.

ReplyDelete"There is a critical ecosystem and convergence, if you will, of content providers, advertisers and ISPs that still needs to occur. Sitting above those three at the top of the ladder are consumers." The very consumer whose needs are getting vastly ignored.
So what is the lay of the land, I asked Berman?
"We have Hulu, Joost and a total of 238 different Internet TV providers," Berman says. "These are companies that call themselves Internet TV, although they do nothing with the TV itself. They are merely providing video access via a PC, and yes, there are millions of views of video over the Internet daily."
"Then there are standard cable operators like Comcast and IPTV operators like AT&T U-Verse. There is DirectTV and Dish Network, who cannot do IPTV or deliver broadband based services via satellite, but they do provide video services. All of these 'operators' are competing for video subscriptions and against the free and open Internet TV companies that are springing up daily. It's still TV versus PC. And, those are all just in this country. Satellite guys are beaming down video into the home but are limited by bandwidth. Telecoms have spent billions on deploying their IPTV services. Cable operators are trying to preserve their world of subscription against all these players by offering the 'triple play' of video, voice and high-speed Internet."
